The look and feel of this site was designed to reflect both the artistry of the product, as well as the technical expertise with which it is designed and produced. In addition, we wanted to make it clear that this product was not inexpensive.
Because of the large number or designs featured on the site (over 200), a database driven architecture was used. We custom programmed the "contact sheet" product selection page, which draws the products displayed from a database. The clickable thumbnails are linked to pages with detailed information about each product. To promote the site we used a combination of search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising. A form was used to allow customers to request pricing or place orders.
The Product Information page displays product-specific information and images drawn from a database. Using a database driven architecture greatly decreases the number of pages that need to maintained in a Website. For instance, although it appears to the user that there is a unique Product Information page for each of the over 200 products, there is actually only one web page that needs to be maintained.
